Join growing aviation team and take the lead on the design and delivery of complex Airfield Electrical Systems and Airfield Ground Lighting (AGL) solutions for major airport infrastructure projects. In this senior role, you will oversee the full project lifecycle, from engineering design and systems integration to testing, commissioning, and operational handover. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure compliance with ICAO, FAA, and airport authority standards while driving technical excellence and innovation. The position offers the opportunity to shape critical airside infrastructure and contribute to the development of aviation capabilities in Poland. We are looking for an experienced AGL expert with a strong background in airport electrical systems and a passion for delivering safe, reliable, and future-ready solutions. This is an excellent opportunity to join a global engineering consultancy and work on high-profile international aviation projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Playing key role in design, integration, testing, and commissioning of airside electrical systems while ensuring compliance with international aviation standards and airport authority requirements.

  • Lead the design and delivery of Airfield Electrical and Airfield Ground Lighting (AGL) systems, including runway, taxiway, apron, heliport lighting, aircraft ground power, air navigation aids, and associated electrical infrastructure.
  • Develop and review detailed engineering designs, including layouts (2D/3D), single-line diagrams, circuiting, CCR sizing, PAPI positioning, cable sizing, load calculations, duct routing, trenching, and risk assessments.
  • Ensure compliance with ICAO Annex 14, FAA standards, and applicable airport authority regulations while maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and operational reliability.
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, stakeholders, and vendors to integrate AGL systems with airside infrastructure, review technical submissions, and support procurement activities.
  • Provide technical leadership during construction, installation, testing, photometric calibration, commissioning, system validation, and operational handover of AGL systems.
  • Drive project excellence by resolving technical issues, ensuring compatibility with Airfield Lighting Control & Monitoring Systems (ALCMS), maintaining accurate documentation, and supporting safe, efficient airport operations.

Requirements:

  • Master’s degree in electrical engineering, Electronics Engineering, or Electronics and Communication Engineering.
  • Minimum 8-10 years of relevant professional experience, with significant expertise in Airfield Ground Lighting (AGL) and Electrical power systems.
  • Demonstrated experience in the aviation sector, with a thorough understanding of airport operations, airside infrastructure, and aviation safety requirements.
  • Strong knowledge of ICAO, FAA, and airport authority standards related to airfield lighting systems.
  • Experience in the design, testing, commissioning, and operation of AGL systems for airports and aviation infrastructure projects.
